Charlie Regan

Charlie Regan has enjoyed a very productive ten years in Plaintiff-related litigation. Charlie interned in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri, as well as the Clay County, Missouri Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. He is a graduate of the UMKC School of Law, where he now volunteers as a guest speaker in the Criminal Trial Techniques class. He has participated in numerous major jury trials, mediations, and settlements.

Charlie believes that great lawyers owe their clients the highest degree of care and must out-think, out-imagine, and out-work their opponents to be successful at the highest level. He has successfully litigated awards and settlements exceeding a million dollars for his personal injury clients. He has achieved dismissals and acquittals in dozens of criminal cases on behalf of his clients facing criminal prosecution.

Charlie Regan has been recognized every year since 2016 as a SuperLawyers Rising Star in Missouri and Kansas. The Rising Stars list recognizes no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. To be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger, or in practice for 10 years or less.

Charlie has also been recognized as a “Top 40 Under 40” attorney in Missouri by The National Trial Lawyers organization. Membership is extended solely to the select few of the most qualified attorneys from each state who demonstrate superior qualifications of leadership, reputation, influence, stature and public profile measured by objective and uniformly applied standards in compliance with state bar and national Rule 4-7.

He is dedicated toward helping those who have been wronged in their daily lives or in the workplace.

Charlie was an outstanding student-athlete at Rockhurst High School as a varsity letterman where he played football, lacrosse, and ran cross country. He continues to challenge himself with physical and mental fitness, which allows him to better serve his clients.

He graduated from the National Outdoor Leadership School course while in college and lived in the wilderness mountains of Wyoming during the snowy winter months, as well as the canyons of Utah in desert climates. He made his own igloo and slept on the mountaintops. He kayaked wild rivers and learned survival in the desert. He learned that the words “I can’t” or “I quit” are not in his vocabulary.

He is active in coaching youth sports in the Kansas City area. He is a dedicated family man. He serves as pro-bono counsel for the award-winning Derrick Thomas/Neil Smith Third and Long Foundation, which helps inner city children with their reading and education needs. He has also recently chaired the Autism Speaks charitable foundation 5K Race.

Charlie Regan has been recognized as a “Pro-Bono Champion” by the Kansas Bar Association for his dedication to helping others free of charge. During the pandemic, Charlie remains active in helping feed thousands of poor and homeless individuals who are in need during these difficult times. Charlie Regan is highly regarded as a preeminent, competent, compassionate, problem-solving attorney, and serves his clients with great ability and commitment to excellence.

Charlie has helped many clients achieve long-term sobriety from substances including alcohol, methamphetamine, heroin, PCP, cocaine, crack-cocaine, as well as a litany of prescription medications and other substances. Charlie enjoys helping his clients suffering from addiction and mental health conditions to obtain the treatment they need in order to live a more full and rewarding life.
